December 2023: Festive Frolics to see out the year!!

As I mentioned in an earlier post, I especially miss Brussels during the festive season, so we’ve been trying to replicate some of the fun of the Christmas markets with trips to our local National Trust houses to see their Christmas decorations. There’s less mulled wine on offer (i.e. none), but the decorations are all so lovely and varied. 

A Historic Weekend in Canterbury, Kent

Canterbury is a small city in the county of Kent, in South East England. It's very old and beautiful, and you can immerse yourself in history dating back to Roman times. At the same time, it's home to three universities, so it feels young and vibrant, not like a living museum
